Viking Singers

Viking Singers is an auditioned ensemble that performs challenging and complex a cappella music at the highest level.  Members of the choir have performed in and been recognized for outstanding performances in the All-State and Regional Honor Choirs and various choral festivals throughout the state. This talented group has received numerous gold, unanimous superior and 1st place awards and has been invited to participate in the Heritage Festival of Gold in New York.

 

Recent achievements include:

 

 

 

  • Received Unanimous Superior recognition at the California Music Educator’s Association-Bay Section Choral Festival for the last four years.

  • Won the Hawk 101.3 contest to sing with Foreigner at the Stanislaus County Fair, 2012.

  • Participated in the youth chorus for the Modesto Symphony Orchestra’s presentation of Carmina Burana, 2013.

  • Finalists in the Gallo Center for the Arts, Valley’s Got Talent Competition 2013.

  • Youth chorus for John Rutter’s Mass for the Children performed in honor of the victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

  • Awarded First and Gold at the San Francisco Heritage Festival, with Invitation to the Heritage of Gold Festival, 2014.

  • Were invited to record the debut of a new composition by choral composer, Jonny Priano for his wedding, 2014.

  • Our recordings are regularly featured on ChoirPlace.com

  • The choir has been invited to participate in the Modesto Community Concert Association’s Valley Showcase in November 2014 at the Gallo Center for the Arts.

 

 

 

During the winter-holiday season, the Viking Singers are in demand throughout the region for their beautiful caroling program. Recently the choir has performed at the Stanislaus Partners in Education Luncheon, Rotary's Teacher of the Year Luncheon, and Stanislaus County Office of Education Friend to Friend Conference.
