Summer Theatre Workshop Schedule

Participants will be given a 10-15 minute break every day near the mid-point of the rehearsal time.  Please provide your student(s) with water and a snack; The rehearsal process can be intense.

Monday, June 12th

FIRST DAY

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

  • Students are introduced to the Directors and Staff, lead in icebreaker games, and given a tour of the theater.
  • Participation payments are taken in the theater lobby.

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

  • Audition Workshop: Students are taught the audition excerpts for singing, dancing, and acting.  Our Directors personally teach the audition materials with the goal of instilling the tools for a successful audition: professional poise, confidence, good attitude, and determination.

6:00 pm - 6:30 pm

  • Parent Meeting: A parent/guardian from each participant household must attend to meet the directors and receive important information regarding the production.

  • Technical Rehearsal
  • Please have students arrive in their street clothes; students will change into their costumes and apply make-up after the dinner break.

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

  • Dinner Break: Dinner will be provided for all students.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave.
  • Family and/or friends will not be permitted in the backstage areas at any time.

6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

  • Students will put on costumes, do their make-up, and hair.
  • Pre-Show Warm-ups

7:30 pm - 8:45 pm (approximately)

  • 1st Performance

Friday, June 30th

5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

  • "Spot-Check" Rehearsal
  • Cast Signing Party: Cast members are encouraged to sign each other's scripts "yearbook style".

6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

  • Students will put on costumes, do their make-up and hair.

7:30 pm - 8:45 pm (approximately)

  • Last Performance

8:45 pm - 9:15 pm

  • Strike: All participants will help to tear down the set and clean the backstage areas.
  • Post Show Celebration: Please help us to celebrate your student's performance with a yummy treat right outside of the theater!
  • No participants will be permitted to leave strike early.
  • No family or friends will be permitted in the backstage areas during strike.
